Early experience

Huang Yuanshen, whose ancestral home is Chongqing, was born in a scholarly family in Shanghai in 1948. The following year, he came to Hong Kong with his parents. His family lives in tiaojingling, Kowloon. When he was young, his family was poor. In his hard life, he took on the heavy responsibilities of the family too early. He brought up five younger brothers and sisters in one hand and developed an independent and family oriented character. At the age of 12, in order to keep fit, he began to learn martial arts from his teachers. Because of his hard work and cleverness, he developed excellent martial arts. Mr Wong studied in Ling Chung school and mude middle school and graduated from Matteo Ricci English College in Hong Kong. As a teenager, Huang Yuanshen, in order to help pay for his tuition and books, did summer jobs every summer vacation. After finishing his preparatory course, he was admitted to the Department of civil engineering of the University of Canada and the Department of engineering of New York University. Because his family circumstances did not allow him to study abroad, he was unable to realize his greatest wish and began to work in society.

During this period, Huang Yuanshen worked as a snack boy, a site handyman, a factory, a delivery and so on. He said to himself, "seventy-two lines, I have done seventy-three lines.". He had been a jade apprentice, and he was very good at identifying and polishing jade. When learning jade, the master liked him very much and gave him a piece of jade. It is said that it can protect his body. This piece of jade has been hanging on Huang Yuanshen. Huang Yuanshen never wanted to be an actor since he was a child. At that time, there were few kung fu films on film and television. However, Huang Yuanshen was persistent in pursuing martial arts, striving for perfection and practicing it perfectly. By chance, his brother signed up for him as an actor. In order to improve the life of his family, Huang Yuanshen was admitted to Shao's wireless film and Television Artists training class in 1971. At that time, he enrolled 60 people from more than 6000 people, and Huang Yuanshen was one of them. From then on, he began his career as an actor. After entering the entertainment circle, Huang Yuanshen's life in tiaojingling officially ended.

In 1972, in the first audition of Kung Fu film "hungry tiger and wild dragon", Huang Yuanshen played it incisively and vividly, which was highly praised by director Wu Siyuan. In 1973, Huang Yuanshen and Kuroda BaoZhao starred in Wu Siyuan's action film "tiger down the mountain" (as Huang Zhong). In 1974, he and Kaohsiung star Gao Baoshu directed the film "human trafficking" (also known as "people fighting for their lives"), and Huang Yuanshen risked his life to make this film, which shows that he is a tough guy with real kung fu. In 1975, he starred in the action film "living dragon and tiger hero" (as Huang Yiqing) with many martial arts actors such as Liang Xiaolong, Hong Jinbao and Meng Hai. Later, he successively starred in the action film "strong in, strong in hand" (as Chen Kezhong).

In just a few years, Huang Yuanshen has learned a lot about film making and production. In 1976, Huang Yuanshen joined Hong Kong TVB and played detective Li Huihao in CID.
