Main story
The tiger will frighten the enemy
At the end of 1937, Wu Kun was transferred to the New Fourth Army as deputy head of the sixth regiment of the third detachment. In October 1938, the sixth regiment entered the enemy's rear area of Southern Jiangsu in the East, and cooperated with its commander Ye Fei in a series of battles in Jintan, Zhenjiang and other places. In the battle, he took the lead and did not fear in the face of danger. He often sounded the charge signal himself and led his troops to severely damage the enemy.
In April 1939, the sixth regiment advanced to the areas of Su Chang Tai and Cheng Xi Yu, opening up the East Road Anti Japanese battlefield. In early May, it joined the third route of the Jiangnan Anti Japanese volunteer army and established the general headquarters of the Jiangnan Anti Japanese volunteer army. The sixth regiment was organized as the second route of the "Jiangnan Anti Japanese volunteer army". Wu Kun served as deputy commander in chief and second route commander of "Jiang Kang". On May 31, he led the second route of "Jiang Kang" to huangditang, Jiangyin, where he encountered Japanese troops who went to the countryside to "mop up". Wu Kun took advantage of the terrain and fought for 2 hours, killing and injuring more than 30 Japanese soldiers.
Although Wu Kun had never read a book, he was unambiguous in marching and fighting. Every time he went to any place, he would lead the cadres and staff of the battalion and company to go to the main cordon. On the one hand, he would observe the terrain on the spot, and on the other hand, he would make operational plans. He has to estimate, measure and predict everything that may happen, and work out countermeasures. He has contributed to the victories of "attacking Hushuguan railway station at night" and "attacking Hongqiao Airport" at home and abroad.
He is also famous for his tenacity and shrewdness. Sometimes, when the enemy is difficult to deal with, and the battle is fierce and stalemate, he personally comes to the front line to command. His eyes emit a flame like light, and his hoarse throat sends out a drum like roar, so as to permeate the whole body and mind of the fighting fanaticism and inspire the courage of the whole army.
After several days and nights of rapid march, the team was sleepy and tired. That night, the troops stationed in a small village to have a rest. After checking the sentry twice, Wu Kun was awakened by the barking of the dog as soon as he fell asleep. He felt that the situation was abnormal. He got up and looked at the window. It turned out that he was surrounded by the enemy. He was quick witted, armed with a fast and slow gun and a quilt on his head, and led the soldiers to rush out. As a result, he caught the enemy by surprise and fled.
Wu Kun has a nickname Wu tiger. The enemy puppets and diehards in Jiangnan knew him from countless setbacks, and the name of "Wu tiger" spread like wildfire. Once, a small unit of our army stationed in the south of Gushan was attacked by the well-equipped "Zhongyi Salvation Army", and the situation was critical. Wu Kun arrived with a grenade around his waist, a sword on his shoulder, a flag in one hand and a gun in the other, leading the commandos to attack the mountain. Seeing this, the stubborn army exclaimed, "tiger Wu is coming!" He fled immediately and was defeated.
Iron bone is tender
Perhaps by chance, Wu Kun met Yang ruinian on his way from Yan'an to the headquarters of the New Fourth Army. It was on the ship from Hankou to Jiujiang. Wu Kun vomited because of fever and seasickness. Yang ruinian knew that Wu Kun had participated in the long march and was injured many times. He admired him and took care of him until his fever subsided. The next day, Wu Kun came up to her, raised his hand and said gratefully, "thank you for your hard work last night."
When he arrived in Nanchang, Wu Kun always thought about Yang ruinian's care for him, so he generously asked Yang ruinian to visit Nanchang BaiHuaZhou with him. Two people's Association, selfless and innocent, but it is seen as touching the high voltage line. It turned out that there was a rule in the New Fourth Army that marriage should meet the requirements of the "258 regiment", that is, they must be 25 years old and 8 years of military service, and they must be league level cadres, otherwise they are not allowed to fall in love. For this reason, Wu Kun was called by Xiang Ying to criticize him severely. He wanted to be the commander of the New Fourth Army, but he was demoted to deputy commander. Before departure, Wu Kun sent a letter to Yang ruinian and apologized to her seriously and sincerely. Yang ruinian had been criticized and wronged. After receiving Wu Kun's letter, he handed it to the organization.
However, after parting, Wu Kun could not forget Yang ruinian's careful care for him. He had the impression that only when he was a child did his mother care for him so much. He treasures her photos with him. Yang ruinian in the photo is wearing a military uniform, charming and resolute, very lovely. Two like-minded young people, in the war years, encouraged each other through letters, and their hearts got closer and closer. However, Wu Kun was worried about writing to Yang ruinian. He knew that Yang ruinian had studied in University, but he had no culture. He was afraid that he would be laughed at for his poor writing. Once, Wu Kun went to Chen Tongsheng, then Secretary General of Jiang Kang, to help him revise the letter. After reading his letter, Chen Tongsheng said to him, "your letter is very good. No romantic, but full of real feelings, she will love you more. "Knowing each other is important, but making friends is not." In my opinion, Xiao Yang is very insightful. She doesn't live a warm life in her home in Shanghai. She comes to the Anti Japanese army. She doesn't love those literati, but you, the hero of the long march. Your future will be happy. " Chen Tongsheng corrected a few wrong words for him, deleted one or two sentences with obvious grammatical defects, returned the letter to him, and said, "if you change too much, you will lose your original meaning and the flavor of your speech. Now it's very good."
Wu Kun copied the letter again and sent it out. But frequent wars, this letter full of sincere feelings, whether to fly to the hands of Xiao Yang, unknown. In the era of war, since Wu Kun and Yang ruinian chose revolution, they had to accept the reality that they would not get together any more.
Wu kunzhen Warrior
When he was transferred to the sixth regiment, Wu Kun did not get along well with some soldiers. It turned out that because the Red Army guerrillas in eastern Fujian had been persisting in armed struggle in mountainous areas for a long time and were isolated from the outside world, they did not trust foreign cadres. Wu Kun, a native of Sichuan Province, was also sent by the Eighth Route Army to talk to cadres and soldiers. He was often estranged by language barriers. Wu Kun was not discouraged. He took pains in training and set an example. He was flexible in command and courageous in fighting. He gradually gained the trust and support of the soldiers, and his prestige increased day by day. In particular, Wu Kun's forthright and informal personality makes everyone like to be with him. One of the guards was a red kid who had been enlisted in the guerrilla war in the south for three years. He followed Wu Kun when he worked in the sixth regiment. Wu Kun would mercilessly criticize him if he made any mistakes in his daily work. However, he was always loyal to Wu Kun and could not even hear a word of complaint behind him. People feel strange, until Gu Shan battle, the young guard was killed by the enemy's bullets, Wu Kun hugged his body, crying in the moonlight for a whole night, the next day his eyes were red and swollen, we suddenly understand his sincere love for his subordinates. After burying the bodies of his comrades in arms, Wu Kun swore with tears: "your blood will not flow in vain!"
In September 1939, our army moved to Jiangyin in order to avoid friction with "loyal and rescue army" and reduce consumption and loss. Unexpectedly, when passing by hutangli, Mazhen Township, Jiangyin, Wu Kun was suddenly hit by the second wing of the stubborn army. He was shot in the head. Before leaving a word, he gave his life for national liberation and people's happiness. On hearing the bad news, all the soldiers and cadres, without exception, burst into tears.
