Chen Zhenlei was born in Chongming, Shanghai in 1929. He is a member of the Communist Party of China. Editing. He graduated from Wuhan University. He began to work in June 1949. He has successively served as Deputy Secretary of the Party committee, Minister of publicity and printing, vice president, deputy chief editor and deputy director. Member of leading group of Hubei Academy of social sciences.
Main achievements: participated in and organized the publication of Chinese dictionary and won the National Book Award. The concise geographical dictionary, which is responsible for the final examination, won the first prize of popular science reading materials of Hubei Association for science and technology in 1986, and was awarded the national honor award of excellent popular science reading materials by China geographical society and China Association of publishers in 1987. Concise dictionary of political economy won the second prize of excellent books of Hubei Social Science Federation in 1987. He is the author of "study Lu Xun's spirit, prosper the publishing industry", "strive to improve the quality of books in Publishing Reform" and "publishers should go the right way".
