Research direction
In this paper, we reviewed the progress of the research on the molecular mechanism of the degradation of cellulose and hemicellulose, including the metabolic engineering of pentose and hexose in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, the production of bioethanol, butanol, diesel and other important bio based chemicals by synthetic biology, and the molecular mechanism of the degradation of cellulose and hemicellulose.
