Gao Weining is a member director of China TV drama Directing Committee. His representative works include: mother is a river, mangrove, the weight of justice, home that never fades, Miao Shanhua, etc.
In 2016, the film "the flower of revenge" was shortlisted for the Chinese film unit of the 40th Montreal International Film Festival; in 2019, the film "Miao Shanhua" won the best new director award of Chinese film at the 36th Miami International Film Festival; in the same year, the film "Miao Shanhua" won the excellent feature film of Chinese film at the 36th Miami International Film Festival.
