Sheng Zhimin

Sheng Zhimin was born in Beijing in 1969. Graduated from school of electric power, Beijing Radio and Television University in 1992. He has organized rock band and acted as deputy director in many experimental dramas and TV dramas. After 1997, he began to participate in film production. He was the producer of Jia Zhangke's platform and Chen Guo's many films, and also made some MTV. In 2002, he completed his first 90 minute feature film heart with digital beta, becoming one of the new directors in the mainland. The film was selected into the Berlin Film Festival Youth Forum. He began to write films in 2003, directed the film "Floating Life" in 2005, and won the netpac Award for the best film in Asia at the International Film Festival in Locarno, Switzerland.
