Sand painting girl
A piece of glass and a handful of sand is a world. Yang Qi first saw sand painting in 2004 when she saw a video performance by Hungarian artist Ferenc cako on the Internet. A piece of glass with a handful of sand was magically changing under the master's hands, telling stories one by one. Although there was no explanation, everyone could see what he was telling. Yang Qi was shocked. She didn't expect that painting could have such a form of expression. Static things flow and the process of painting is shown to the audience one by one. It's so vivid and wonderful, but all the materials are just a handful of sand. Yang Qi decided to try it on her own. Yang Qi was born in an ordinary family in Kaifeng. Maybe she was inherited by her father who loves painting. Since she was a child, Yang Qi likes to paint everywhere with a pen, especially beauties. For the side and front, Yang Qi has given her name to every beauty. Her parents saw that she liked painting. When she was five years old, they took her to a local teacher, tie Junmin, who was an old teacher of painting. The old man had two characteristics: one was that he never charged money to teach his children painting, and his students were all over the world, so he never got any profit; the other was that he accepted his apprentices to see fate. No matter how talented he was, he would not accept it. Yang Qi can't remember what the old man talked with her at that time. She only remembers that she went to the old man's home to have a class the next day. Later, the old man talked about it and said that he thought the girl had aura and should have eaten this bowl of rice. For more than ten years, the friendship between teachers and students has continued. After graduating from the Art Department of Henan University in 1999, Yang Qi came to Shenzhen to do design in a graphic company. Although she won the prize in the first packaging design exhibition in Shenzhen, she still felt that she could not make any breakthrough in art. A year later, Yang Qi resigned and came to Shanghai. While continuing to study art at China Normal University, she found a job The job of an advertising agency. It was at this time that Yang Qi learned about sand painting. with more than 20 years of art skills, entering this field should have certain advantages. She and a boy she just met, Li Lin, who is also an art student, began to explore the art of sand painting together. First, make your own sand painting device. According to what they saw in the online video, they drew a sketch for the carpenter to follow. This is similar to a table. It is about 50 cm long and 40 cm wide. There is glass on it and a lamp under it. Where is the sand? So they designed a groove beside the glass to put sand, which was sent by friends from the seaside. After the installation is completed, friends who have been working with them for several days are very excited and don't know what effect will appear. Yang Qi grabs a handful of sand and sprinkles it. She draws a horse of Xu Beihong. Unexpectedly, it is not only lifelike, but also has the effect of landscape painting. Now they are relieved. It seems that they can draw sand paintings themselves. but soon Yang Qi found the problem: first, the sand is not easy to use, it is too wet to open, and it can't have an elegant effect, it is too dry and static, and it always sticks to her hands. The light source under the glass is uneven, causing some places to be dark and some places to be bright. It's very inconvenient to take sand from the groove, and the glass is too small to show enough content. Fortunately, Li Lin is a fan of equipment. He likes to design and change the device most. After listening to Yang Qi's complaint, he quickly produced a second set of drawings. This time, the glass area increased, the groove was canceled, and the sand was directly placed on the side of the glass. Outside the scope of the camera, he consulted the lighting master of the TV station to solve the problem of uneven light source. The most troublesome is the sand, how to maintain the most appropriate humidity once let them spend a lot of thinking. the equipment problem was solved, and Yang Qi began to practice her basic skills. Sand painting is different from traditional painting. In the studio, you can make a draft on the drawing paper and constantly revise it. When painting, you can draw more and draw less according to your feeling. But sand painting can't work. Its form of expression determines that it must be completed at one go, and it can't be modified, and its position can't be wrong. Especially when drawing face, a little wrong will become a failed work. During that time, Yang Qi was painting sand paintings except for eating and sleeping. A few months later, she could skillfully and accurately outline the pictures she wanted, but she still needed to draw the draft on the paper first. At the same time, Yang Qi began to face the problem of creation. What to draw? She found that sand painting is very suitable to express the artistic conception of Chinese painting, especially after the sand is dyed with a light color, it is more suitable to express ancient Chinese elements. She continued to draw all kinds of Chinese paintings, gradually no longer need to draft, can be the picture in mind. Since 2006, she has been invited to perform live. She recites poems for Chinese primary school students with sand paintings, and performs sand paintings for the performances of four ancient Chinese beauty dramas in China Opera and dance theater. The poetic and weeping scenes are very consistent with the theme of the scene, making the audience cry. Her classmates and teachers also like her works very much and feel that this way has opened up a new field for art. In particular, her mentor, the old man, will watch her every performance carefully in front of the TV
