Zhang Jiemin
Zhang Jiemin began to study piano and percussion music at the age of 7, majored in percussion music at the age of 11, and began to study composition and conducting at the age of 17. He joined Shanghai Conservatory of music in 1989, majoring in conducting, and successively studied under Huang Xiaotong, Zhang Guoyong and Zhang Mei. After graduation in 1995, he was employed by Shanghai Opera House. He is now assistant conductor of Shanghai Symphony Orchestra.
Personal resume
In 1996, he co directed the opera Carmen in Shanghai Opera House.
During 1997-1999, he co directed the operas Carmen, artist's career and durando in the Latvian national opera house.
From 1998 to 1999, he was assistant conductor of zusemeta in Florence opera house. In August 1998, as the assistant of master Mehta, he participated in the performance of the large-scale opera "Turandot" in the Palace Museum in Beijing, and followed him to study and work in Israel Symphony Orchestra and Munich opera house.
In 1999, he conducted a symphony concert of Tang and Song poems at Beijing International Music Festival.
From 2001 to 2002, at the invitation of Michel prasson, a famous French conductor, he served as an assistant conductor in the Toulouse Symphony Orchestra.

His works include Romeo and Juliet, Faust, bat, Aida, masked ball, country knight, Camellia girl, wandering Dutchman, Ron green, Magic Flute, lady butterfly and Othello.
He was the conductor of the concert "x Hong Kong Orchestra in love with" in 2007
