Wang Xiaofeng, born in Beijing in 1941, is a doctoral supervisor and a researcher of Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences. Her research direction is the basic and applied research of geomechanics.

He graduated from the Department of geology, Peking University in 1965 and has been engaged in the basic and applied research of geomechanics in the Institute of geomechanics since graduation. Member of the ninth and Tenth National Revolutionary Committee, member of the ninth and Tenth National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, and state specially invited member of land and resources supervision.

In 1992, he was awarded the honorary title of Beijing's "March 8" labor expert; in 1997, he was awarded the "August 5" advanced individual award for scientific and technological work by the Ministry of Geology and mineral resources; in 1999, the working committee of the central government organs awarded the title of "top ten outstanding women"; in the same year, the Party committee of the Ministry of land and resources awarded the "women's construction" activity pacesetter and advanced individual; in 2004, he was awarded the honorary title of "national March 8 red flag bearer" by the all China Women's Federation .
Scientific research
Wang Xiaofeng has made outstanding contributions to the basic scientific research of geomechanics and the applied research of mineral resources. She has been responsible for more than 30 national, provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects and a number of Sino foreign cooperation projects. She has published seven monographs, including "Tan Lu fault zone", "Altyn metallogenic geological conditions and prospect prediction", and more than 100 papers in Chinese and English. She participated in the project of "discovery, exploration and metallogenic theory research of new type rare earth deposits in Jiangxi Province", and won the first prize of national science and technology progress in 1988; she also won one second prize and three third prizes of provincial and ministerial scientific research achievements in gold, silver, copper and iron ore production research. Since the ninth five year plan, we have devoted ourselves to the preliminary exploration of metal, oil and gas mineral resources in the northern margin of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, and made a number of new breakthroughs in prospecting discoveries and methods. In 2001, the Ministry of science and technology, the Ministry of finance, the State Planning Commission and the State Economic and Trade Commission jointly awarded the title of advanced individual in the ninth five year plan.
