He is a Bachelor of Chinese Department of Southwest University (formerly Southwest Normal University) and a master of Chinese Department of Renmin University of China. He has been teaching in the Chinese teaching and research section of the Chinese Department of Guizhou University for nationalities, the language teaching and research section of the Chinese Department of Heilongjiang University, and the language teaching and research section of the Chinese Department of Xiamen University. From 2005 to 2007, he served as a visiting professor in the Department of Chinese studies, Renho University, Incheon, and the Department of Chinese language and Chinese studies, Hanyang University, Seoul. At present, he is an associate professor and master's supervisor of linguistics and applied linguistics in the Chinese Department of Xiamen University.
