Characters' self narration
Xin Xiaoling began to learn erhu at the age of six. Erhu has become an indispensable part of my life. Hong Kong is a place where art and culture gather, impact and blend. Growing up in Hong Kong since childhood, I have a strong feeling for Hong Kong. I always hope to record a record with the flavor of the times and inject new elements into the traditional music. Thanks to Mr. Xu Xuan, producer of g.d.i record company, for helping me select ten famous Chinese folk songs and arranging Dennis lancion, its famous composer and arranger, to compose different styles of jazz music. Playing jazz is quite difficult in technique and rhythm. It is also a new challenge for me to pay attention to improvisation and tacit understanding with other performers. In addition, Mr. Chen Qiang of g.d.i created two new music for this record - "Fengshen" and "Ci song", which are my favorite works. They can not only enrich the skills of erhu, but also give play to the unique charm of erhu.
I would like to thank g.d.i for fulfilling my wish. "Fengshen" has ten folk songs that accompany me growing up. This new interpretation is a new attempt for me. I hope you will like it as much as I do.
