Anecdotes of characters
At home, pastor Yu is a loving and humorous father to his three children and a grandfather to his four grandchildren. He is more generous and loving to that "naughty girl". He not only has entrepreneurial spirit, but also focuses on his goals.
At the age of nearly 60, he started running, aiming to run the marathon in Hawaii. As a result, he ran seven marathons in Hawaii, New York and San Francisco.
In November 2009, despite his health and the doctor's advice, pastor Yu went to Hong Kong after praying with pneumonia and asthma to preach for a group of brothers and sisters who were engaged in student work (40 of them came from all over China).
With the word of God and rich life experience, pastor Yu taught the brothers and sisters deeply, and inspired them to devote themselves to serving the Lord.
When he returned to California in early December, he once again ignored the doctor's advice and put the church ministry on top of his own health. He insisted on preaching valuable information at the pastoral ceremony of brother Li Yading, the first family of Christ's house. His refined seven points of exhortation are eternal encouragement for those who serve the Lord.
At the end of 2009, after preaching in Missouri Christian workers center winter meeting, pastor Yu went to Hawaii to install pacemaker in early 2010. He planned to return to San Francisco Bay area for recuperation after three months. Unfortunately, because of several relapses of drug-resistant pneumonia, they were hospitalized for three times. Finally, because of the recurrence of pneumonia, asthma, liver and kidney function decline and pulmonary Hydrosis and other factors, he rested at 10:05 pm on March 29.
Pastor Yu calmly returned to his wonderful benefactor who had served him with all his heart and soul for 71 years.
