Xu Jingxin, born in Fengxian County, Shanghai in 1943, was admitted to the composing Department of Shanghai Conservatory of music in 1960. After graduation in 1967, he was assigned to Shanghai Film Studio as composer. In 1988, he served as head of Shanghai Film Orchestra, artistic director and national first-class composer. He was once vice chairman of Shanghai Musicians Association, member of Shanghai Federation of literary and art circles and vice president of China Film Music Association. He has created more than 80 film music works and more than 150 TV series music works. Life

High school in Shanghai Hongkou middle school. At the age of 17, he was admitted to the theoretical composition department of Shanghai Conservatory of music.
