Trivia
After more than 20 years in Japan, Jiang Jianhua brought erhu and Chinese music to the world, attracting numerous international scholars who love Chinese music to learn from her. With thousands of international performances, Jiang Jianhua is more willing to devote his talents to his motherland. As a mother of two children, she hopes that her children born in Japan can accept the influence of the motherland's culture. Because of her deep patriotism, Jiang Jianhua was no longer satisfied with the short time she was invited to perform in China every year. She missed her motherland, her alma mater, her familiar hometown, teachers and students. So in 2007, she and her husband, who is a Lute Player and educator, decided to return home immediately. She resolutely gave up her Japanese nationality, happily ordered a container, sold off her Japanese villa, and returned to Beijing after 21 years' absence.
Back in Beijing, Jiang Jianhua chose to be a teacher in her alma mater. She was very happy. In Beijing, she can hear the authentic music of Jinghu band again, and she can listen to the euphemistic silk and bamboo of her hometown. The purity and simplicity of Chinese music made Jiang Jianhua review his performance. Erhu is a classical stringed instrument in Chinese music sketch. The composition of each part is so simple. When horsetail accompanies the melody to send out the light fragrance of rosin, the music that has been popular among the people and experienced many dynasties seems so detached and pure.
