Cao min
Cao Min: cellist. He has been the cellist of the orchestra of Texas opera house, POMA Symphony Orchestra, star song and dance theatre, and trevoci cellist of Houston Piano Trio. He also served as music director of Asian Chamber Music Association in Houston. In the early 1980s, he graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of music and majored in cello performance. Later, he entered the central orchestra to perform symphonies.
In 1986, he won a full scholarship to study for a master's degree at Rice University, a famous university in the south of the United States. During that time, he studied under the guidance of Professor Shirley trepel, a famous cellist in the United States, and was guided by Yo Yo Ma, Peter Wiley, Gary Hoffman, Fritz MAG and other cellists and educators in the United States.
Mr. Cao Min has participated in several world cello festivals in Germany and Britain, and Leonard rose International Cello Festival in the United States. He has listened to the live performances and lectures of dozens of internationally renowned cellists from all over the world, and has gained a lot of valuable experience in cello performance and teaching.
Before returning to Shanghai Conservatory of music in 2001, he taught Cello and chamber music at Houston Baptist University. Mr. Cao min is currently a foreign professor of cello at Shanghai Conservatory of music and the executive vice president of cello Professional Committee of Shanghai Musicians Association. Since 2002, he has been a member of the discipline leader echelon of Shanghai Conservatory of music, and was employed as a judge in the fifth national cello competition held by the Ministry of culture in 2004. In 2005, he was employed as a judge in the 5th China Golden Bell Award cello competition sponsored by China Federation of literary and art circles and China Music Association.
In addition to his busy teaching work, Mr. Cao min also keeps performing on the stage and giving lectures in music and art colleges in other provinces and cities. Since 2004, he has been invited to hold solo concerts and lectures in music and art colleges all over the world, including Sichuan, Wuhan, Shenyang, Nanjing and other music colleges. In 2004 and 2006 Shanghai Spring International Music Festival, sponsored by Shanghai Musicians Association, it successfully held cello solo concert and piano string trio "Classic Elite boutique" concert with famous violinist pan Yinlin and pianist Jiang Chen. In mid May 2005, he was invited to give lectures at Queensland Conservatory of music in Australia, and cooperated with Professor Peter roenfeldt, Dean and pianist of Queensland Conservatory of music, successfully held a solo concert. In November of the same year, in the Fifth China "Golden Bell Award" Cello competition, student Cai Jingjing ranked second and won the silver medal.
