Du Taihang

Du Taihang, pianist and educator. At present, he is Professor of Piano Department of Central Conservatory of music, director of teaching and research section of piano major subject, and doctoral supervisor. Born in a musical family, Du began to study piano at the age of six. At the age of 11, he entered Beijing Central Conservatory of music and studied under Zhao Pingguo, Li Qifang, etc. At the age of 16, he held his first recital. He went to Europe in 1992 and won the first place in two Swiss national competitions. In 1994, he won the second prize and new work award in the International Piano Competition in the Hague, the Netherlands. He won a special prize in the gezaanda International Piano Competition in Zurich in 1997.

Personal profile

As an excellent piano educator, Du Taihang has successively set up summer camp classes in Weimar's Liszt Conservatory of music, Austria's allegrovivo International Music Festival, Germany's Lindau's youngmaster International Music experimental, Beijing international music summer camp, Taipei Normal University and other places, and has served as judges in important piano competitions in China and Taiwan. Since 2001, he has won many awards in international and domestic piano competitions. In 2004, Du Taihang was rated as one of the top ten model teachers of the Central Conservatory of music. In 2005, he was selected into the new century talent support program of the Ministry of education. In 2009, as one of the main members of the teaching and research section of the Central Conservatory of music, he won the "National Teaching Achievement Award" with the project of "construction of China's professional piano teaching system". In the same year, he completed the latest version of the national piano grading textbook with four editorial board members, making contributions to the new generation of piano education and general work.

Personal resume

Du Taihang was born in 1966 in a music family in Beijing. He began to learn piano at the age of 6 and studied under song Jinlan and Li Juhong. At the age of 12, he was admitted to the primary school attached to the Central Conservatory of music. At the age of 14, he was admitted to the secondary school attached to the Central Conservatory of music. He has won the first place in the piano examination for six times in a row, and has been given face-to-face learning opportunities by foreign masters and experts in China, such as Skoda and FU Cong, who are famous Austrian pianists. He won the third place in the national piano competition in 1984. In 1985, he was recommended to the Piano Department of the Central Conservatory of music to study under Li Qifang.

In 1991, he studied in Zurich Conservatory of music and studied under Homer francesch, a famous pianist. During this period, he won the first prize in two national piano competitions in Switzerland and was funded by the negotz foundation. In 1993, he enrolled in the music institute of Trossingen, Germany, and studied for two years under the guidance of the world-famous piano educator Victor merzhanov. He obtained a master's degree, that is, an artist's diploma. Two years later, he successively enrolled in Hannover Conservatory of music and detemmont Conservatory of music in Germany, and obtained the diploma of soloist.

In 1994, schweiningen won the second prize and new work award in the International Piano Competition held in the Hague, the Netherlands. He won a special prize in the gezaanda International Piano Competition in Zurich in 1997.

As a young pianist who was active in Europe in the 1990s, Du Taihang held more than 300 concertos, solos and ensembles in Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark and Japan. He once performed in some famous concert halls and international music festivals. The famous orchestras we have cooperated with include Zurich Concert Hall Symphony Orchestra, North Holland Symphony Orchestra, etc. The live performance has been recorded and broadcast by radio stations in Germany, Switzerland, Denmark and other countries for many times.

In June 2002, as the first performer in China to obtain the highest German Diploma (certified as a doctor by the Ministry of Education), Du Taihang returned to teach in the Central Conservatory of music of his alma mater.

Performance experience

Du's music footprints are all over the famous concert halls and festivals at home and abroad. He has given solo concerts in famous concert halls such as konzertgebouw in Amsterdam, Tonhalle in Zurich, Pauli theatre in Beijing and China National Grand Theatre. In Schleswig, Germany_ Holsten International Music Festival, forum Feldkirch, DEM bodenseefestival, Bregenzer festspielen of Austria, Allegro vivo Festival, Asiago International Music Festival of Italy and other famous international music festivals were invited to perform. His performance has been highly praised by experts and audiences at home and abroad, showing the charm and style of Chinese pianists.

Du has also performed with many famous orchestras at home and abroad, such as Tonhalle architect Zuerich, nordhollandisch Philhamonic, philharmonic orchestras orchestral Brno, China Philharmonic Orchestra, China National Symphony Orchestra, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Macao Symphony Orchestra, etc. Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Japan and China's National Radio and television stations have recorded and broadcast his performances for many times. In 2001, while continuing to perform at home and abroad, Du Taihang accepted the invitation of his alma mater, the Central Conservatory of music, and returned to his alma mater to teach in the piano department. He is now the director of the teaching and research section of the piano department. The Chinese Philharmonic Orchestra specially held "Du Taihang Piano Concerto Concert" and the National Symphony Orchestra of China held "Chinese music elite concert" as a welcome for him to return to his alma mater to teach and live in Beijing.

In addition, in order to popularize piano music and let more audiences enjoy the beautiful world brought by piano, Du Taihang recorded CDs, VCDs and so on many times. In 2002, Du Taihang piano recital was published by universal audio and video publishing house; in 2003, CD from Bach to Pinghu autumn moon was published by Pro Art Publishing House; in 2005, CD love and dance was published by China Musicians publishing house. In 2008, Du Taihang performed and directed his CD and DVD multimedia work "scenery and wine" on the screen at the Boden Lake Music Festival in Germany and the concert hall of the National Grand Theater of China. In 2009, Du Tai Hang and Christian Maurer, the top jazz musicians in Europe, jointly held the "Du Tai Hang and C_ "Jazz" concert shows his unique charm in modern music. In 2011, China National Records Corporation published Du Taihang's live album "road · crystal". In the same year, as the creative director, Du Taihang planned and directed a new type of scene concert "pure beauty and Carnival" in the concert hall of the National Grand Theater during the Spring Festival.
