Main achievements
Achievements in scientific research
Zhang Tao is mainly engaged in the research of space propellant catalytic decomposition technology, environmental protection catalysis, new catalytic materials and biomass catalytic conversion. Combined with the background and characteristics of major tasks, Zhang Tao's research group has systematically carried out the basic research on the application of space and aviation catalysts, aiming at the rapid decomposition of propellant in millisecond time scale and gas expansion reaction process, in a new ordered reactor with controllable pore size Great progress has been made in the research of mesoporous alumina, ordered mesoporous carbon materials and transition metal carbon / nitrogen / phosphide catalysts with noble metal like properties. He led the scientific research team to make creative achievements in the research of catalytic science and technology, and expanded the new field of catalyst application in aerospace. in 2008, the team led by Zhang Tao first discovered a new one-step catalytic conversion of cellulose to ethylene glycol (published in Angew.Chem.Int .Edit.,2008,47,8510-8513)。 In 2011, Zhang Tao's research team, together with Professor Li Jun of Tsinghua University and Professor Liu Jingyue of University of Arizona, proposed a new concept of "single atom catalysis" for the first time in the world (published in nature chemistry, 2011, 3634-641). At present, single atom catalysis has become a research frontier in the field of materials science and catalysis science. in December 2016, Zhang Tao's team's achievements on "monatomic catalysis" were selected as the "top ten scientific research achievements" in the field of chemistry and chemical engineering in 2016 by the chemical engineering news of American Chemical Society. as of June 2018, Zhang Tao's Nat.Chem .、 Nat.Energy 、 Acc.Chem.Res .、 Chem.Rev .、 Angew.Chem.Int More than 400 SCI papers have been published in.
