Norwegian home cooking: fried cod with mashed potatoes
Introduction:
"The Norwegian saying is" spicerdufisk, birdufrisk. "It means that eating more fish will make you healthier. The long and narrow coastline makes Norway a big exporter of COD, salmon and some other fish. Every winter, a large number of wild cod swim back to the west coast of Norway to spawn, which is the annual fishing season. According to the latest survey, fish should be eaten at least three times a week in a healthy diet. Fried fish, grilled fish and fish soup have become high on the Norwegian family table. Today, one of the simplest ways to eat fish is to fry cod. "
Production steps:
Step 1: quick frozen cod, take it out in advance and thaw at room temperature
Step 2: Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper and marinate for a while
Step 3: the number of potatoes depends on the size of potatoes and how much people eat. Wash the potatoes and cook them together. About 20 minutes, insert them with chopsticks. If they can penetrate easily, they will be cooked
Step 4: after peeling, add butter while it's hot, and roll into mud
Step 5: add the right amount of milk and make the mashed potatoes to the desired consistency, but generally not the super soft one like KFC. Add salt and black pepper according to taste
Step 6: while cooking potatoes, remove the leaves and roots from the mini cabbage, wash and cut in half
Step 7: prepare another small pot of light salt water, boil it, boil the mini cabbage for half a minute, remove and control the water
Step 8: dry the salted cod with kitchen paper
Step 9: heat the pan to smoke, pour in the oil, fry the fish immediately, keep the heat for half a minute, then turn to the minimum heat for 3 minutes, and then change the maximum heat for half a minute. Then you can turn it over and fry it in the same way until it is well done. The fish fried in this way can be fully cooked without scattering.
Materials required:
Quick frozen cod: 300g
Potatoes: moderate
Mini cabbage: moderate
Carrot: right amount
Salt: right amount
Black pepper: moderate
Milk: moderate
Butter: one teaspoon
Edible oil: right amount
Note: vegetables can be replaced according to their own taste. Many instant dinners are served with carrots and mini cabbages, so I chose these two. I steamed the carrots for a while. I forgot to take pictures and steamed them until they became soft. When pickling cod, salt is added, and there is salt in mashed potatoes, so don't add too much salt, or the whole will be salty. The taste of Western food is relatively light. When cooking, first cook potatoes. After the potatoes are cooked, prepare mashed potatoes while frying fish. In addition, vegetables should be prepared at the same time, so that all the ingredients can be finished at about the same time, and other parts will not cool down because of waiting. Norwegians eat only one hot meal a day. It would be a shame if even the dinner is cold.
