Introduction to Changli folk songs:
Applicant: Changli County, Hebei Province
Changli folk song is a kind of folk ditty spread in Changli County, northeast Hebei Province. It can be traced back to the Yuan Dynasty and has a history of more than 700 years.
According to the content of singing, Changli folk songs include labor songs, stories and legends, love and life, while the singing forms include Yangko tune, solo singing and counterpart. The distribution of folk song types is different in different areas of the county. Labor songs are popular in the eastern coastal areas, Yangko is the main folk song in the southern areas, and Luanxian is the birthplace of Pingju in the western areas. Among them, fishermen's chants, which are popular along the eastern coast, represent the mainstream of Changli folk songs. Most of the old folk artists were born in the eastern region and are famous for singing fishermen's chants.
Based on the local dialect, Changli folk songs are sung with "local voice". This singing method needs to master the skills of eight links, such as rolling tongue sound, purr sound, trembling throat sound, throat nose sound, complement sound, glide sound, decorative sound and heavy tail sound. When singing, it is usually accompanied by erhu, Yangqin, Sheng, pipa, suona, dizi and other national musical instruments. If it is sung in the courtyard at the head of the village, it only needs a pair of bamboo boards or an erhu accompaniment. The melody of Changli folk songs is mainly in Zheng mode, followed by Yu mode, less in Gong mode, the least in Jiao mode, and less in transferred mode. It has a fresh, beautiful and simple artistic style.
Changli folk songs have a profound cultural heritage, which is the treasure of Changli County folk art. For a long time, Changli County Cultural Center has organized many large-scale investigations and interviews, collecting 155 traditional folk songs, 7 labor songs, 5 peddler tunes and 22 Anti Japanese folk songs, and successively processing and sorting out excellent works such as picking cotton, jasmine, embroidering lanterns and watching drama. Cao Yujian, as the representative of folk song artists, performed well and enjoyed a good reputation. In view of the historical spread and development of Changli folk songs, Changli County was named "the hometown of Chinese folk songs" by the Ministry of culture in 2000. At present, most of the famous artists of Changli folk songs are over 60 years old, and most of the people who love folk songs are above middle age. In this situation, the inheritance of Changli folk songs is very difficult, and even many folk song families are facing the danger of dating. It is urgent to take measures to protect the inheritance.
