Dragon dance, also known as "Dragon Dance", is the most widely distributed and far-reaching folk dance in China. This kind of dance has various forms of expression, and the styles of dragon dance in different nationalities and regions are quite different.
According to the shape of the dragon, there are many forms of dragon dance, such as cloth dragon, yarn dragon, paper dragon, grass dragon, Qian dragon, bamboo dragon, brown dragon, bench dragon, shutter dragon, lotus dragon, fire dragon, chicken feather dragon, meat dragon and so on. Different forms of dragon have different dance styles and techniques. The traditional performance procedure of Chinese dragon dance is generally composed of "invite the dragon", "leave the dragon", "dance the dragon" and "send the dragon". Dragon dance is an important part of the spirit and cultural heritage of the Chinese nation.
Zuilong is a unique folk dance in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province in ancient times. It originated in Song Dynasty and flourished in Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was originally a spontaneous impromptu God dance, and later developed into a prop dance. It is performed every year in the parade activities held after the sacrifice of Buddha Bathing Festival on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month. Zuilong originates from Changzhou village in the Western District of Zhongshan, and radiates from Changzhou to Shiqi Zhangxi, Shaxi, Dayong, haotou of Torch Development Zone, etc. In addition, it also came to Macao through the early immigrants from Changzhou and other places.
The performance of drunken dragon includes worshiping, inserting golden flowers, inviting the dragon, three worships and nine kowtows, drinking, dragon dancing, drinking and touring. During the performance, the dragon dancers need to be filled with enough wine first, and then dance with drunkenness. A little sober, holding the wine from the side of the strong irrigation, to make it into a state of intoxication. In addition to the dragon head and dragon tail, there are people pouring wine. Each dragon needs to "drink" two bottles of wine. The dragon dancers drink as if they are drunk but not drunk. They spray beer at the mouth, hold the dragon head in their hands, and dance with drunken steps. The opening ceremony is lively. The dance steps that seem to be drunk but not drunk seem to be staggering, but in fact they are wonderful. In the past, people who danced drunk dragon danced the dragon's head and tail at will in the process of worship, which was called "zhuanlong", and later developed into a kind of folk dance.
Zuilong, a combination of martial arts such as Nanquan, zuilong and juggling, has been popular among the local people in Zhongshan since ancient times, and has influenced the surrounding areas. It can be called the treasure of Chinese folk dance. At present, the main inheritors of zuilong are old. This unique folk dance is on the verge of extinction and needs to be protected.
