Guqin, also known as "Qin", "Qixian Qin", also known as "Lvqi", "Sitong", is a kind of flat stringed musical instrument. Guqin art is the oldest, the highest level of art in Chinese history, and the most national spirit, aesthetic taste and traditional artistic characteristics of instrumental music performance form, in addition to solo, also includes singing and playing both Qin song and Qin Xiao ensemble. According to the archaeological data, the shape of Guqin was complete in Han Dynasty. Through the creative development of daiqin people and literati, Guqin art has become more and more mature and perfect. It is closely related to social life, history, philosophy and literature. It has made great achievements in the accumulation of repertoire, playing skills, temperament, inheritance methods and Guqin technology, showing rich humanistic connotation.

Zhucheng City in Shandong Province is not only the hometown of Zhucheng Qin school, but also one of the birthplaces of Chinese Guqin. Zhucheng school Guqin art, also known as "Langya school Guqin", was formed in the mid-19th century. Through the exploration and development of several generations of Guqin artists, it gradually formed a Guqin school with distinct artistic personality and specific repertoire. Zhucheng school is one of the representative schools of Chinese Guqin art. Its representatives are Wang Puchang (Jifu), Wang Yumen (Lengquan), Wang Zuozhen (Xinyuan), Wang Lu (Xinkui), Wang binlu (Yanqing), etc., known as "the five heroes of Zhucheng Guqin history". Among them, Wang Lu and Wang binlu served as Guqin tutors in Peking University and Nanjing Normal University respectively, which made Zhucheng school's influence spread all over the country and even abroad.

The judiao system of Zhucheng school Guqin takes Sanxian as the palace and lvming as the tune. Its artistic style is rigid with toughness, dense with sparse, solid with emptiness, flowing in one breath, heavy without stagnation, showing the classical beauty of ethereal reverberation. Among them, Wang Lengquan's Zheng Lu contains 21 pieces, Wang Jifu's, Wang Xinyuan's and Wang xiunan's tongyinshanguan's have 16 pieces, Wang Lu's yuhexuan's has 30 pieces, and Wang binlu's mei'an's has 14 pieces. Changmenyuan, qiufengci and GuanShanYue are the unique repertoire of Zhucheng school.

In history, Zhucheng School of Guqin art once had an important influence on China's Qin industry. It is a unique school of Guqin art in modern China. During the "Cultural Revolution", it and other Guqin art suffered heavy losses. Nowadays, under the influence of western culture and modern media, people are very separated from Guqin and other traditional Chinese arts. The Guqin art of Zhucheng school is facing the dilemma of lack of successors. It is urgent to rescue and protect it.
