A brief introduction to the Ministry of Manchu saying:
Applicant: Jilin Province
Changbai Mountain in the southeast of Jilin Province is the birthplace of Manchu. The ancestors of Manchu have been living in this vast, beautiful and magical fertile land since ancient times. Manchu Shuobu is an ancient folk long story telling and singing art handed down by Manchu and its ancestors. It is called "ulabun" in Manchu and translated into biography or biography in Chinese. Its form and connotation are quite different from listening to ordinary folk stories. Most of them are told by the elders gargling and burning incense. They are often accompanied by tambourines and clappers, with narration and singing. The purpose is to say "roots", respect ancestors and praise heroes. The listeners are courteous and orderly, especially devout. Manchu Shuobu is rooted in Manchu and its ancestors' custom of telling the ancients.
The Manchu speaking, singing and speaking department is mainly handed down by word of mouth in the clan and inherited from generation to generation. In the early period, Manchu was mostly used for speaking and singing. After the middle of Qing Dynasty, Manchu was gradually abandoned, so Chinese was used for speaking and singing. Manchu Shuobu, with dignified style and magnificent momentum, is known as the Encyclopedia of northern nationalities, including the rise of clans and tribes, wild and ancient sacrifices, pioneering and entrepreneurship, heroic history, national customs and knowledge of production and life. Shuobu is the memory of the history of Manchu and its ancestors. Some of the historical contents mentioned in the book are little known, and some make up for the lack of historical documents in northern China. It is a precious material for the study of national history, territory history, national relations history, anthropology, sociology and Folklore. Some of them have been translated into Russian, Japanese, English, Italian, German, Korean and other languages, enriching the world's cultural treasure house.
The Manchu Shuo tribe is rich in resources, but most of the Shuo and inheritors are special groups, and the number of them is small now, so it is urgent to carry out the rescue protection work. In recent years, as a subject, the Manchu Ministry of education has been included in the scientific research projects of the Academy of Social Sciences and the national pilot project of "Chinese national and folk culture protection project". More than ten books have been collected and recorded, and have been proved by experts with phased achievements. However, there are still many undocumented departments, and the task of rescue and protection is quite arduous.
