Porcelain painting is a kind of porcelain painting art popular in Jiangxi Province with the theme of portrait, mainly concentrated in Nanchang, Jingdezhen, Jiujiang and other places. In the early years of the Republic of China, Liang Rongshi, a native of Nanchang, set up lizexuan porcelain village in the prosperous area of Zhongshan Road. He hired artists to paint portraits and pastel porcelain according to customers' requirements, which was the first time for portrait porcelain painting. Since then, there have been many painting houses in Nanchang, such as Zhonghua porcelain house and Xiaolu porcelain Museum. At the same time, a group of excellent portrait porcelain painters, such as Liang Xieting, Wu Yueshan, Yang houxing and Huang Liuzi, have emerged. Therefore, Nanchang has become an important town of porcelain painting.
