Brief introduction of Shaoxing xuanjuan
Applicant: Shaoxing County, Zhejiang Province
Shaoxing xuanjuan is one of the "five major types of music" in Shaoxing area of Zhejiang Province. It was formed in the late Qing Dynasty and spread in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Shaoxing and Ningbo in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. It has a history of more than 150 years.
Shaoxing xuanjuan is a kind of rap art with religious color, which is mainly used for sacrificing gods and praying for blessings. Its libretto is generally called "Baojuan", and the singers put it on the table and sing according to the libretto, so it is called "xuanjuan". The general xuanjuan Tuge Qingchang is called "pingjuan"; if accompanied by erhu, Sanxian and Yueqin, it is called "huajuan". "Pingjuan" requires at least three people, who can play the roles of Sheng, Dan, Jing and Chou. One person can do several different jobs. When singing, they sit around the table. Those who face the south are called "Lu Wei" or "Shu Wei", who are responsible for turning the volume and acting as Dan roles. Those who face the East are called "Fu Wei" or "Yu Wei", who are responsible for beating the high pitched wooden fish Festival and acting as variegated roles. Those who face the West are called "Shou Wei" or "Jing Wei", who are responsible for beating the awakened wood to help sing and acting as Sheng roles. If it is sung by four people, there is still a "tea seat" sitting side by side with the "book seat", which is responsible for pouring tea to help sing. Shaoxing xuanjuan's singing music is called xuanjuan tune, which includes "Wugong tune" and "shua'er tune" from Shaoxing opera, "yinsiping tune", "Buddha lotus tune" and "qizou tune" from tune tune, and "danshuang tune" and "yinshidiao tune" from folk minor tune. The lyrics are mainly composed of seven words or cross words, and the singing music starts with three words at the end of the upper and lower sentences. The help singing must be followed by the "Amitabha Buddha in the South".
There are about 100 volumes of Shaoxing xuanjuan, whose contents are related to Buddhist scriptures, such as Mulian Baojuan, Liuxiang nvbaojuan, etc., or with the same purpose as traditional opera and other tunes, such as Pipa Ji, Xixiang Ji, Huanhuan Bao, Fenyu Jing, Sanguantang, Fenghuang Tu, Biyu Zan, etc "Dragon and Phoenix lock", "double Golden Flower", "flower selling dragon", "water selling dragon", "wheat cutting dragon" and "Jade Dragonfly", "Pearl Tower", "jade mandarin duck", "jade hairpin" with the same purpose as Suzhou Tanci and Shaoxing CI. Xuanjuan artists have no strict apprenticeship. Most of them volunteer to form xuanjuan troupe, with "Yuwei" as the leader, and sing in God's birthday, birthday, memorial ceremony and other ceremonies.
Since 1950, due to the influence of the political situation, Shaoxing xuanjuan gradually stopped performing. At present, although it has been restored, there is no one to inherit it, so it is urgent to rescue and protect it.
