Introduction to Liangping's Caozi gongs and drums:
Applicant: Liangping County, Chongqing
Liangping Caozi gongs and drums is a kind of folk instrumental music in Liangping County of Chongqing. Its origin can't be traced back to now. According to LAN Yiqing's Zhuzhici, a scholar in this county in the Qing Dynasty, Liangping's Caozi gongs and drums should have been widely spread in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
The music of Liangping's Caozi gongs and drums is called "the introduction of gongs and drums", represented by the introduction of "Eighteen Caozi" gongs and drums. There are mainly "laolaolaozi", "hualaozi", "Yuanyang Laozi", "Diao Laozi", "ganlaozi", "chonghulu" and "Nanshan net". Among them, the main repertoire of 18 mangzi are Lao mangzi, Lao mangzi and Hua mangzi. Head and tail of the commonly used repertoire are "gold and silver lamp", "battle Ganoderma lucidum", "jiweizi". In the process of playing, you need to play 18 pieces at a time, which are composed of three pieces in a group, a total of six groups. Each group must have a paragraph beginning with a horse Gong, a paragraph beginning with a cymbal and a paragraph beginning with a big gong. On this basis, it has developed into hundreds of gongs and drums including "gold and silver lamp", "honeysuckle", "red embroidered shoes".
There are six kinds of musical instruments in Liangping, namely two drums, horse gongs, cymbals, big gongs, hook gongs and cymbals. The band is composed of five people. Those who play horse gongs also play hook gongs. Liangping's Caozi gongs and drums have the characteristics of loud voice, warm atmosphere, high rhyme and intriguing. They are often played in festivals, opening ceremonies, birthday ceremonies, weddings, funerals and other folk activities, and are deeply loved by the people.
At present, some artists have died one after another. The existing artists are old, and young people are unwilling to learn to play gongs and drums. Therefore, the number of gongs and drums artists is decreasing, so they have to combine the original music classes. In this situation, Liangping Laozi gongs and drums are on the verge of extinction.
