Introduction to QUJU Opera:
Applicant: Henan Province
Henan opera, also known as "Gaotai opera", is based on Henan Opera and walking on stilts, which was formally developed around 1920s. Originally, there were only chuizi accompaniment instruments. After performing on the stage, quhu, Sanxian, Jinghu with soft bow, Shouban, Sheng, guzheng, erhu, Pipa and other accompaniment instruments gradually increased. At the same time, Wuchang instruments also appeared. There are many tunes in the opera, such as Matou, yangdiao, chajiang, shipian, Qingjiang, yinniusi and Manjianghong. According to the needs of the plot, a singing tune can form a singing style with different emotions through special performance skills. For example, Yang tune has more than ten singing styles, such as General Yang tune, crying Yang tune, happy Yang tune, angry Yang tune, old Yang tune, and poetry has two singing styles, hard poetry and soft poetry. This is the biggest characteristic of Qu opera singing art, which is extremely rare in other operas. The themes of Quju are mostly folk stories, family life and love affairs between men and women. They are good at tragedies and comedies. Singing and singing are easy to understand. They have a strong local flavor and are full of life interest. After decades of development, a number of representative plays have been accumulated, including Hu Erjie's opening shop, An'an sending rice, xiaoguandeng, Da Zaojun, Li Huozi's divorce, Chen Sanliang's climbing hall, Juan Xi Tong, Feng xuepei, Kou Zhun's back boots, going to the countryside, chasing feet, and traveling to the countryside. Famous actors include Zhang Xinfang, Wang Xiuling, Gao Guizhi Hai Lianchi, Ma Qi, etc.
Qu opera is the second largest opera in Henan Province. Besides Henan, it is also distributed in Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hebei, Hubei, Anhui, Jiangsu and other provinces. It has been created and performed continuously, and is deeply loved by the audience because of its natural humor and close to life. However, its reserve force can not be optimistic. It lacks good successors and special training institutions. In the general depression of local opera, it is necessary to carry out the basic strategies for the survival and development of Quju opera, such as selecting good candidates, cultivating excellent actors and a fixed audience, exploring mature market operation methods and strengthening publicity.
