Loufeng Street
Loufeng street is subordinate to Suzhou Industrial Park. It was established on December 26, 2012. It is adjacent to Suzhou ancient city in the west, China Singapore cooperation zone in Suzhou Industrial Park in the East, Xiangcheng District in the north and Wuzhong District in the south.
As of September 2015, the area of Lou street was about 27.3 square kilometers, with a total population of about 185 thousand, with a registered residence population of 93 thousand and an external population of 92 thousand.
In 2014, the public financial revenue was 1.538 billion yuan, the total export value was 2.472 billion US dollars, the total industrial output value was 26.556 billion yuan, the retail sales of trade enterprises was 4.23 billion yuan, and the manufacturing investment was 510 million yuan.
Historical evolution
The origin of the name
In the first year of Helu (514 BC), the king of Wu built the ancient city of Suzhou. There are Fengmen, loumen and Qimen in the east of Suzhou ancient city. Before liberation, today's Loufeng area is used to be called "Fenglou Fu Guo". On November 11, 1949, the names of Loudong Township, Loubei Township, Fengtang Township and Xinqi Township appeared in the township administrative organs set up by Suzhou Municipal People's Government in the eastern suburb of the city. In October 1952, Suzhou suburban people's government was established. In September 1953, the administrative division of Suzhou suburb was changed, Xinqi township was changed into louqi Township, and Hetang township was set up. In February 1956, Loudong Township, louqi Township, Fengtang Township and SHETANG Township merged and became Loufeng township. This is the first time to use "Loufeng" to name a township administrative unit.
Evolution of organizational system
According to the archaeological excavation data provided by Suzhou Museum, a perforated stone axe was found in jinjidun, Jinhu village, Loufeng street, which indicates that human beings lived in Loufeng at the latest in the Neolithic age. In 473 BC, the state of Yue destroyed Wu and Loufeng became a territory of Yue. in the 28th year of King Huai of Chu (301 BC), the state of Chu destroyed Yue, and Loufeng belonged to the state of Chu. In 221 BC, the first emperor of Qin unified the six states and established Wu County in Wu. Loufeng belonged to Wu County until the early Tang Dynasty. Long live Empress Wu of Tang Dynasty. In the first year of Tongtian (696 AD), Changzhou county was set up in the East and north of Wu County, and Loufeng was included in the territory of Changzhou county. In 1724 A.D., Yuanhe county was established in the southeast of Changzhou, and most of Loufeng entered the territory of Yuanhe county. in December 1928, the city of Suzhou in Jiangsu Province was established and divided from Wu County. The western part of Loufeng Prefecture is Suzhou City, and the eastern part is Wu County. In February 1934, Wu County was divided into 13 districts. Loufeng district was divided into the first district, the Sixth District, the seventh district, the eighth district and the ninth district. In September 1946, Wuxian county was ordered by Jiangsu provincial government to merge towns. Loufeng district was divided into Suzhou District, Yangcheng district and Songbei district. On May 1, 1949, a part of Suzhou was set up to separate from Wu County. Loufeng area is under the jurisdiction of Suzhou City, except for the part of Yangcheng district and Songbei District which belong to Wuxian county. In February 1951, Loudong Township, louqi Township and Fengtang township of Wu County were included in the suburbs of Suzhou. In August 1952, the eastern and western suburbs of Suzhou were merged to form the suburban people's government. Most of Loufeng is under the jurisdiction of suburbs (Beiyuan belongs to the Eastern District of Suzhou, while Yangxi, Shahu and Xintang are still under the jurisdiction of Wu County). In October 1952, the suburban government of Suzhou was established. Today, most of Loufeng is a suburb. In September 1954, some towns in Wu County were assigned to Suzhou city. Therefore, the suburbs of Suzhou were abolished and xupan District, Fengqiao district and Mudu district were established in the suburbs. Except for Beiyuan, Yangxi, Shahu and xintangbei, Loufeng is under the jurisdiction of xupan district. In February 1956, Loudong Township, louqi Township, Fengtang Township and SHETANG Township in today's Loufeng region were merged to establish Loufeng township; Changqiao (North) Township, Nanyuan Township and xindang Township were merged to form Qingmin township. In December 1957, Loufeng Township and Qingmin Township were merged to use the name of Loufeng township. In May 1958, Nanyuan village was assigned to Canglang District of Suzhou City; in August, Beiyuan village was assigned to Pingjiang District, and the rest was still called Loufeng township of Wu County. In January 1959, Loufeng township was divided into two parts. Part of the former Qingmin township (now Qunli, Youyi, CHENGWAN, Xinghong, Qingmin, Lianhe Village) was transferred to Chengnan commune of Canglang District, and the rest was renamed Loudong commune and transferred to Pingjiang District. The name of Loufeng Township temporarily disappeared. On July 8, 1959, Loudong commune, Qingmin district and Nanyuan compound and become Loufeng commune under the direct leadership of Suzhou Municipal People's Committee. In June 1962, the suburb of Suzhou was restored, and Loufeng commune was under the jurisdiction of the suburb. On October 13, 1969, Suyu commune was incorporated into Loufeng commune. Loufeng's territory extends from Houwan of Yangxi village in the north to Shahu farm in the East, and the range to the West and South remains unchanged. On October 20, 1983, the government and commune were separated, and Loufeng commune was changed to Loufeng township. On April 29, 1994, Loufeng Township and other towns were put under the direct jurisdiction of Suzhou municipal government, and the administrative functions of Suzhou Industrial Park Management Committee were exercised. On February 25, 1999, Loufeng town was established after the township was removed. On February 23, 2002, the former Xietang town was merged into Loufeng town. on December 26, 2012, Loufeng was changed from town to street.

Loufeng street belongs to Suzhou Industrial Park. It is located in the hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta, with Kunshan City in the East, Dushu Lake in the south, Gusu District in the West and Xiangcheng District in the north. It is located at the intersection of China's coastal economic open area and the Yangtze River Economic Development Zone, only 80 km away from Shanghai.

Loufeng street belongs to alluvial Lake Plain geological area and bedrock hill engineering geological area. Except for the surface soil layer accumulated by human activities, the rest are Quaternary sedimentary layer with gentle slope, generally in horizontal stratification, interactive layer or interlayer, which is more regular. geological characteristics: flat terrain, hard geology and strong ground endurance. The land bearing capacity in the area is more than 20 tons per square meter, and the soil is mainly clay.
