Jiangnan Korean Manchu Township, belonging to Ning'an City, Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the northeast of Ning'an city. It is adjacent to Wenchun town of Xi'an district by Laoyeling of Changbai Mountains in the East, Wolong Korean Township in the south, langang town in the West and Wenchun town of Xi'an District in the North. The township government is stationed in Jiangnan village. The area is 425.13 square kilometers.
In 2018, the registered residence population of Manchu Township in the south of the Yangtze River was 26239. As of October 2019, Jiangnan Korean Manchu countryside has jurisdiction over 25 administrative villages.

Historical evolution
Jiangnan Korean Manchu Township is named because it is located on the South Bank of Mudanjiang River and has a large population of Korean and Manchu.
During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to Ningkang township of Ning'an county.
In 1945, it belonged to the first autonomous region.
In 1947, Jiangnan district was established.
In August 1948, it was renamed the third district.
In May 1956, Jiangnan township was changed.
In January 1958, it was renamed Jiangnan Korean township; in September of the same year, it merged with Gangyao township to form Jiangnan commune.
In 1962, it was divided into Jiangnan commune and Jiangdong commune.
In April 1984, the commune was transformed into a township.
In September 1986, it was renamed Jiangnan Korean Manchu Township.
In March 2001, Jiangdong township was merged into Jiangdong Township, which has 45 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
In 2005, 45 administrative villages were merged into 31.
In November 2011, seven villages, Jiangnan, Zhenjiang, Zhangjia, Huangqi, Xiaotang, Mingxing and Xin'an, were designated as Ning'an town.
