Nansunzhuang Township, belonging to Fengnan District, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, is located in the west of Fengnan District, adjacent to the new urban area of Fengnan District in the East, Tangfang town and dongtianzhuang Township in the south, Yuelong Town, Ninghe District, Tianjin city in the west, and Chahe Town, Fengrun District in the north. Its administrative area is 94.18 square kilometers.
In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to wanglanzhuang town of Fengrun County; in March 1984, the people's commune was abolished and nansunzhuang township was established. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of South Sun Township was 25897. As of June 2020, nansunzhuang township has jurisdiction over 28 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located at No. 3 Xingfu street.

History of construction
In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to wanglanzhuang Town, Fengrun county.
During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to thirteen districts of Fengrun county.

In May 1946, it belonged to six districts of Fengnan county.
In 1950, it belonged to three districts of Fengnan county.
In May 1953, it belonged to nansunzhuang Township, hecangzhuang Township, Shenjing Township and zhangliuzhuang Township in three districts of Fengnan county.
In August 1958, it belonged to nansunzhuang management area of Tangfang people's commune.
In June 1961, it belonged to the nansunzhuang people's commune of Tangfang Working Committee.
In March 1984, the people's commune was abolished and nansunzhuang township was established.

hydrology
The river in nansunzhuang Township belongs to Tangjin canal system. Tangjin canal was excavated by hand after the autumn of 1959. It flows from Huifeng Lake in the north to Ji canal in Tianjin. The river is 6 km long.

The main natural disasters in nansunzhuang township are wind disaster, hail, drought and flood, low temperature, frost, lightning, insect disaster, etc. Wind disasters occur throughout the year, usually accompanied by thunderstorms, resulting in wheat, cotton, corn production. The average hail disaster occurred three times in five years. The most serious one occurred on June 29, 1987, lasting for 20 minutes. The area of hail was 67cm, and 3000 mu of cotton was smashed. There were six major drought years from 1994 to 2011. 2002 is a very dry year with annual precipitation less than 200 mm.
