characteristic
Hushu Culture
Hushu culture is rich. Hushu is the birthplace of "Hushu culture" in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, which has a history of 4000-5000 years. Hushu is one of the main settlements of the Hui people in Nanjing. It has a strong Islamic culture. The mosque with a history of more than 600 years is located here. It is one of the main places of worship for the Hui people in Nanjing. The rich tourism resources such as Liangtai Yidi, chuandun and yangliucun ancient buildings are of great development value. The long history and splendid culture endow Hushu with rich connotation. Zhang Dongliang, the king of Chinese newspaper industry and the leader of Chinese medicine, is an acquaintance of Hushu.
Hushu culture is a prehistoric culture in the south of the Yangtze River in China. The sites are mainly distributed in Nanjing, Zhenjiang and Taihu Lake Basin. It existed in the Shang and Zhou dynasties in the Central Plains. Hushu culture was first discovered in 1951 in Hushu Town, Jiangning County, Jiangsu Province, hence its name. In 1959, scholars Yin Huanzhang and Zeng zhaoentropy of Nanjing Museum published articles to explain and confirm its scope.
Most of the Hushu cultural sites are located on the mounds along the banks of rivers and lakes (so they are called platform type sites). There are traces of fire baking in building materials. The most distinctive tool is the use of impression pottery. Stone tools are still the main tools, but they have the technology of bronze casting. Judging from the remains of farm tools and animal bones, agriculture and animal husbandry have reached a certain level, but from the excavation of a large number of hunting tools, fishing and hunting are still very important. It can be seen from a large number of unearthed divination bones that people liked divination at that time. From the characteristics of pottery and bronzes, the culture has mutual contact with Shang and Zhou cultures, especially in the Western Zhou Dynasty, which reflects the influence of political and cultural forces in the Western Zhou Dynasty on the south. Bronze Age culture in Southeast China. It was first discovered in Hushu Town, Jiangning County, Jiangsu Province in 1951. It is distributed in Jiangsu and Anhui provinces in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It is equivalent to the Shang and Zhou dynasties in the Central Plains. Most of the sites of this culture are located on mounds, and some people call them platform shaped sites. The cultural level can be divided into upper and lower levels, representing two periods of continuous development. The relics include house sites, pottery kilns, etc. The floor of the house is flattened by beating, and then grilled by fire, with smooth surface. Some residential areas are 10 meters in diameter. The kiln is rectangular, 2.1 meters long and 1.1 meters wide. There are charcoal, ashes and broken pottery in the kiln.
The main tools for production are stone tools, which are shaped like axes, knives, sickles, etc. There are a large number of agricultural production tools, which shows that agriculture has played a major role in the production at that time. The number of stone arrowheads and net pendants is also large, indicating that fishing and hunting still play an important role. Most of the pottery used in daily life is coarse pottery with sand, as well as clay black polished pottery, geometric impression pottery and primitive porcelain. Geometric impression hard pottery generally comes from the upper layer, while the lower layer is mostly geometric impression soft pottery. The main shapes of the pottery are Li, Li and Ding with angular handles, which are of regional characteristics. In the clay polished pottery, there are some small bottles and ampoules similar to the style of bronze ware. In addition, there are pots, pots, pots, beans and so on. Small bronzes such as knives, axes, arrowheads and fishhooks have been found, as well as copper ores, pottery bowls and smelting slag for copper smelting, indicating that the cultural residents have mastered the smelting and casting technology of bronze. Bujia and Bugu were also found in the site.
There are many similarities between Hushu culture and Shang and Zhou Culture in Central Plains in terms of cultural characteristics such as pottery. Therefore, it is likely to be an indigenous culture influenced by Central Plains culture in the late Shang and early Zhou dynasties. But some people think that Hushu culture is actually the Western Zhou Culture in this area.
