Xianlin University Town

Xianlin University Town is located in the middle of Qixia District and the east foot of Zijin, 15 kilometers away from Xinjiekou. It was planned in 1995 and officially started construction in January 2002. It is one of the earliest university towns in China.

Xianlin University Town is a key area for the development of higher education industry in Jiangsu Province. It mainly focuses on high-end communities and scientific research institutions. Learning from the planning of foreign noble humanistic communities, it aims at high development with a high starting point and the theme of green humanity.

By the end of 2013, 12 universities, 6 primary and secondary schools and nearly 20 kindergartens have settled in Xianlin University Town. Historical evolution

The Party Working Committee and Management Committee of Xianlin University Town was established in January 2002 (Ning Wei [2002] No.14). According to the "three plans" (Ning Wei Ban Fa [2002] No. 13), there are five departments: office, planning and construction department, municipal administration department, planning and finance department, organization and personnel department.

In April 2004, the municipal Editorial Board agreed to set up the supervision office of the Municipal Supervision Bureau in Xianlin University Town Management Committee (Ning Bian Zi [2002] No. 24).

In June 2009, the municipal editorial office agreed to add the brand of China Merchants Bureau (Ning Bian Zi [2009] No. 14) to the planning and construction department.

Xianhe District

Xianhe area of Xianlin University Town, namely Xianlin University Town phase I, is located in the northwest quadrant of Xianlin.
