Chengzhai Township
Chengzhai Township, belonging to Xingtang County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, is located in the northwest of Xingtang County, bordering Shangshang Township and Shangbei town in the East, Zhaiying Township in the south, Lingshou County in the West and kouzhou town in the north, with an administrative area of 60.23 square kilometers.
In 1949, Chengzhai Township belonged to six districts of Xingtang County; in 1984, it was restored to Chengzhai township; at the end of 1995, shangziyang township was incorporated. By the end of 2018, 21498 people registered residence in the city. As of June 2020, Chengzhai township has jurisdiction over 25 administrative villages.

Historical evolution
Chengzhai township was formerly known as chengzeli. According to the new Annals of Xingtang, "Xingtang was the capital of Jin in the spring and Autumn period, and the tomb of yinggou, a senior official of Jin, was in front of Chengzhai village, where the tomb of Yingshi, a senior official of Jin, was inscribed.". The site is still recognizable. Another record: "the tombstone of Xiaozi Yingxiang. Xiaozixiang was a Miao descendant of the Jin Dynasty. Its tomb is in Chengze Li, Ganquan township. " Later, chengzeli evolved into Chengzhai.
In 1949, Chengzhai Township belonged to six districts of Xingtang County.
In 1953, it belonged to Chengzhai Township and shangziyang Township respectively.
In March 1958, Chengzhai township was established; in the same year, Xingtang County was abolished and merged into Xinle county.
In 1962, Xingtang County was restored to its original state.
In 1984, it was restored to Chengzhai township.
At the end of 1995, shangziyang township was incorporated into the city.
