Tangzhen
Tang town belongs to Shanghai and is located in the middle of Pudong New Area, adjacent to Zhangjiang Town, Chuansha town, Jinqiao Town, Heqing town and Caolu town. As of 2011, Tangzhen had 17 villages and 16 communities, covering an area of 32.32 square kilometers. As of 2017, Tangzhen had a permanent population of 149681.
In 2012, the total income of Tangzhen's three industries was 51.312 billion yuan, and the total industrial output value was 5.972 billion yuan. Local fiscal revenue was 702 million yuan, and investment in fixed assets was 3.333 billion yuan.
Tangzhen township has been rated as an advanced cultural Township in Shanghai, an advanced township for the development of social undertakings in Pudong New Area, a demonstration village for villager autonomy in Pudong New Area, a respecting village for the elderly in Pudong New Area, a health village in Shanghai, and a civilized town in Shanghai from 2018 to 2019.
In July 2020, it won the honorary title of national health Township from 2017 to 2019.
Historical evolution
Tangzhen originally belonged to Hongqiao commune, and Tangzhen people's commune was established in 1961.
In 1984, the executive society was set up separately and the people's Government of Tang town and township was established.
In 1986, Tang township was under the jurisdiction of Chuansha county.
On April 18, 1990, Shanghai Pudong New Area was established and Chuansha county was abolished.
On January 1, 1993, the organizational system of Chuansha county was abolished, 26 townships and 3 towns under its jurisdiction were under the jurisdiction of Pudong New Area, and Tangzhen township was under the jurisdiction of Pudong New Area.
In November 1995, Pudong New Area implemented the system of removing villages from townships and building towns.
On December 1, 1995, it was officially renamed Tangzhen.

Location context
Tang town is located in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, in the middle of Pudong New Area of Shanghai, about 15 kilometers away from the urban area of Shanghai and about 15 kilometers away from Pudong International Airport. It is adjacent to Zhangjiang, Chuansha, Jinqiao, Heqing and Caolu towns, with a total area of 32.32 square kilometers. The geographical coordinates of the center are 31.23 N and 121.47 e, with an average altitude of 3.91 m above Wusong zero.

The stratum in Tangzhen area is the Yangtze river alluvium, belonging to the category of early coastal plain, and the soil is yellow mud.
climate
Tangzhen is located in the south edge of the north subtropical zone and the coastal zone where the East Asian monsoon prevails. Four distinct seasons, abundant rainfall, sufficient light, moderate temperature. There are obvious changes in the four seasons of the year. The five-day average temperature is lower than 10 ℃ in winter, higher than 22 ℃ in summer, and 10 ℃ - 22 ℃ in spring and autumn. In the whole year, the south wind in the Middle East is the most, the northwest wind and northeast wind are the second, and the southwest wind is the least. The annual precipitation concentration period is spring rain, plum rain, autumn rain, less rain in winter.

In 1996, the population was 15000. By the end of 2000, the total number of households in the town was 10436, with a permanent population of 33844, including 11373 residents.
In 2007, the population sampling survey of Tang town involved three administrative villages: Xinzhen, Xinxin and Muer. A total of 12055 residents were surveyed in 3 sample villages, of which 3025 were registered residence in Shanghai. The population of migrants and the number of people who left their registered residence for more than half a year were 9030, with the population of 513 households in the village and the residence in the outer street. The permanent residents of the above three villages are divided into 47 investigation districts according to the survey unit of 250 people. Nine districts were selected as the survey objects by Shanghai population sampling survey office, including districts 07, 14 and 21 in Xinzhen village, districts 04, 10 and 16 in Yixin village and districts 01, 03 and 04 in Muer village. The above 9 communities have 2285 permanent residents, including 740 registered residents in Shanghai and 1545 migrant population. The total number of registered residence in Tang town and 187 people living in Wai Jie town is 2472.
As of 2014, the registered residence of Tang town was 44 thousand and 800, and the number of registered population was 96 thousand and 900. The town is mainly Han nationality.
