Dongwang Town, subordinate to Xinle City, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, is located in the east of Xinle City, bordering Xizhong Township, Dingzhou City, Baoding City in the East and south, Handai town in the West and Dugu town in the north, with an administrative area of 38.3 square kilometers.
In 1946, Dongwang town belonged to six districts of Xinle County; in 1993, Dongwang town was replaced by township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in East Wang Zhen was 32616. As of June 2020, Dongwang town has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages.
In 2011, the total fiscal revenue of Dongwang town was 8.3627 million yuan, an increase of 31.23% over the previous year, and the per capita fiscal revenue was 18.1% over the previous year. History of construction
In 1946, Dongwang town belonged to six districts of Xinle county.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belongs to the fourth district.
In 1956, Han Tai township was established.
In 1958, it was the Dongwang administrative area of Han Tai commune.
In 1961, Dongwang commune was founded.
In 1984, it was changed to Dongwang township.
In 1993, the township was removed and Dongwang town was established.

History and culture
During the Hongwu Period of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1398), several brothers and uncles surnamed Wang moved here from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province. Because the brothers were harmonious, they were named Wang Bohe, later referred to as Dongwang. It got its name from the original commune in Dongwang village.
