Linjiang Town

Linjiang town is a township under the jurisdiction of Pucheng County, Fujian Province. It is located in the southwest of Pucheng County, between 118 ° 22 ′ - 118 ° 30 ′ E and 27 ° 45 ′ - 27 ° 52 ′ n.

Linjiang town is adjacent to Liantang Town in the northeast, shuibeijie town in the southeast, Shipi town in the South and Yongxing Town in the northwest. It is 12.2 km wide from east to west and 10.8 km long from north to south.

In 2017, the administrative area was 11434 hectares, with a permanent population of 12654.

There are 23 Neolithic to Warring States sites in the territory. During the reign of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty, Yushan, king of Dongyue, built Linjiang City in the territory. From the Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, it was the place of Qinghu and Renfeng.

Evolution of organizational system

During the period of the Republic of China, there were demonstration townships, districts and towns. After liberation, Linjiang township government was established in January 1950, under the jurisdiction of the third district office. In 1951, it was divided into four townships, Linjiang, Jincheng, Zhaixia and Zhangshan, with a total of 16 villages under its jurisdiction.

In 1952, the third district office was established in Linjiang, which is divided into nine townships: Linjiang, Jincheng, Zhaixia, Zhangshan, Shangji, Shanhou, Yuanwei, qiandun and Yinchang. After several adjustments, Linjiang people's commune was established in September 1958, with 16 production teams and 144 production teams under its jurisdiction. In September 1984, it was restructured into a town with 16 village committees under its jurisdiction.

The territory is surrounded by low mountains, with valley basin in the middle and gentle hills. The highest peak is jinshanwu in Jinglan village, with an altitude of 803.8 meters. Yongxing stream (also known as Xixi) and Shanxia stream enter from the northwest and west respectively. They meet at Huangshan temple and flow southeast through Linjiang street. They flow to Guanqian and flow into Nanpu stream. There are three large valley basins with a total area of 12495 mu. Linjiang street is 23 kilometers away from the county seat, 230 meters above sea level.

It has a humid monsoon climate in the middle subtropical zone, with an average annual temperature of 17.7 ℃, frost free period of 245 days and an average annual rainfall of 1780.2 mm.

It is rich in water resources. In history, 53 dams were built with water resources to make pestles and irrigate. After liberation, 12 power stations were built successively, and the power was connected to the county power grid to meet the needs of industrial and agricultural production and people's life.

The territory is rich in resources and products. There are granites distributed in Shanhou, Qidun, Yuyuan, Zhaixia, Yuanwei, Jinglan, tielu, Zhangshan and other villages. The name of tielu village is suspected to be related to ancient iron smelting.

In 2005, according to the data provided by Pucheng Statistics Bureau, the total sown area of crops in the town was 88228 mu, including 51960 mu of grain crops, with a total output of 19140 tons; 8279 mu of oil crops, with a total output of 1310 tons; 18869 mu of vegetables, melons and fruits, with a total output of 18038 tons; 2333 cubic meters of young forest tending, with a total timber output of 17211 cubic meters in silvicultural production; 1 In animal husbandry, there were 8635 pigs and 100323 poultry; tea picking area was 1960 mu, with a total output of 136 tons; garden fruit picking area was 10592 mu, with a total output of 2344 tons.
