Badou town

Badou town is subordinate to Feidong County, Hefei City, Anhui Province. Located in the north of Feidong County, it was merged by Wangcheng Town, Fuwang town and Badou town in November 2006. The town has 27 Village (neighborhood) committees, 278 natural villages and 566 Village (neighborhood) groups.

The total area is 179.32 square kilometers (2017), and the cultivated area is 7709 hectares. With a total population of 40783 (2017), it is a typical agricultural town. It is adjacent to Gucheng town and Zhangji town in the East, Yangdian town and Bailong town in the west, Liangyuan town in the South and xiangdao town in the north. Provincial Highway Hefei Bengbu highway, county highway Fantong road and Baqing Road (under construction) pass through the area.

General situation

It is located in the northeast of the city, bordering Dingyuan County, xiangdao Township and Chenji town in the north, Gucheng town in the East, Zhangji Township and Liangyuan town in the south, Yangdian Township and Bailong town in the West. Historical evolution

Badouling was first called Yushan. It is said that during the Three Kingdoms period, Cao Zhi (Zijian) was envied by his brother Cao Pi for his outstanding literary talent. Cao Zhi was buried here after his death. Now there is a tomb, also known as a clothes tomb, and a tombstone named "the tomb of Prince CHEN Si's son Jian" is erected. There is no way to verify whether it is true or false. Later generations called this place "Badou mausoleum" in memory of his father's residence in Badou. Today, this place is located on the Yangtze Huaihe River watershed, known as badouling. Badou town is named after badouling. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, badouling was the residence of Badou township government, Badou people's Commune and Badou district office. In 1992, Badou Township and Huazhang Township merged to form Badou town. In November 2006, Fuwang Township and Wangcheng Township were merged into Badou town.
