Xilinzi township is located in the east of Raohe County, Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province, 15 kilometers north of Raohe County, in the east of Dadingzi, on the West Bank of Wusuli, an old revolutionary base area. It was originally a place where refugees lived. It was built in 1938. The township has 9 administrative villages and 11 natural villages, with an administrative area of 310 square kilometers. The comprehensive economic strength is strong, and the construction of small towns and various social undertakings have been coordinated.

Historical evolution

The name of xilinzi comes from the name of xilinzi village. When the village was first built, it was located on the North Bank of the lower reaches of the xiao'an (South) river. From the mouth of the river to the west, it was a dense poplar and birch forest, so it was called "xilinzi". In the 1920s, some Shandong "refugees" came to the west of Raohe county to open up forest and cultivate opium poppy, and some Korean people came here to cultivate paddy fields, which is under the jurisdiction of Changtai District of Raohe county. In 1938, the Japanese and puppet rulers established xilinzi village. After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, it was subordinate to the second district. In July 1954, the district was removed and the village was set up. In June 1956, xilinzi township was set up. In October 1958, it was renamed xilinzi people's commune. In January 1959, "the farm and the society merged" and belonged to the second branch of 859 farm. In March 1962, the commune of xilinzi was restored. In April 1984, it was changed to xilinzi township. In August 1985, Sipai village and Majie forest farm along the Yangtze River were assigned to the newly established Sipai Hezhe township.
