Tongtan town
Tongtan town of Jiangyang district is located in the west of Luzhou city. It is 10.2 km long from east to west and 7.85 km wide from south to north. It covers an area of 80 square kilometers and has a total population of 54014. It is the largest town in Jiangyang district. In September 2016, Tongtan town was rated as a national key town in 2016.
On December 6, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Luzhou city to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in four counties (districts) including Jiangyang district (cfzm [2019] No. 12): Shizhai town was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Tongtan Town, and Tongtan Town People's government was stationed at No. 8, middle section of Xiangyang Road.

In December 2019, the administrative area of the original Shizhai town will be put under the jurisdiction of Tongtan Town, and the people's Government of Tongtan town will be stationed at No. 8, middle Xiangyang Road.
