Laha town is located in the southwest of Nehe City, on the left bank of Nenjiang River, adjacent to Tongyi town in the East, Xingwang Ewenki Township in the south, xivartu town of molida wadagan'er Autonomous Banner in Inner Mongolia autonomous region across Nenjiang River in the west, and Liuhe Town in the north, with a total administrative area of 83.6 square kilometers.
In 1685, the lahagang post station was built. In 1980, laha commune was transformed into laha town. By the end of 2018, the population of laha town was 26619. In 2019, laha town governs 5 communities and 2 administrative villages, and the people's government is stationed in group 1 of Wenchang community.
In 2018, there were 126 industrial enterprises in laha Town, including 7 above scale and 16 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters. In September 2018, the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas and the Ministry of Finance approved laha town to carry out the demonstration construction of a strong agricultural town.
Historical evolution
In 1685, the lahagang post station was built.
In 1931, after the fall of Northeast China, the laha police station was set up. In 1938, it was changed to laha Street office. In 1946, it was changed to laha district. In 1947, it was renamed the eighth district.
In December 1951, it was changed into laha town.
In September 1958, it was changed into red flag commune.
In 1959, it was renamed laha commune.
In 1980, laha commune was transformed into laha town.
