History of construction

During the Qing Dynasty, the territory belonged to Anxian, Wenshui, etc. In 1909, the first year of Xuantong in the Qing Dynasty, it was set up in the Post Pavilion Township.

In December 1950, it was added as the eighth District of Dazu district.

In February 1953, Youting township was set up as Xinli township; in September of the same year, Xinshi township was set up as Xinshi township.

In 1956, Xinli and Xinshi townships entered the Post Pavilion Township.

In 1958, Youting township was transformed into Youting commune.

In May 1983, the Post Pavilion commune was changed into Post Pavilion Township.

In 1993, Youting Township, Xinli Township and Zidian Township were merged into Youting town.

In December 2003, Yuantong township was merged into Youting town.
