Organization Profile

Yilan County Forestry Bureau is located in the southwest corner of the intersection of Tongjiang road and Jianshe Road in Yilan County, the former site of Guandi temple in Sanxing city. It was established in 1951 as the forestry branch of the people's Committee of Yilan County, and its office was located inside the people's Committee of Yilan County. In 1956, it was renamed as the Forest Management District of Yilan County, and its office address was southwest of the intersection of yuancaishi road and Zhongyang Road of Yilan town. In April 1958, it was renamed as the central forest farm of Yilan County. In November of the same year, it was renamed as the forestry bureau of Yilan County, and its office address was moved to the east of Yilan second school, Third Street of Yilan town. It was incorporated into the forestry bureau of Yilan County in 1968 The rural socialist service station of Yilan County has a forestry group, and its office address is the office building of the former Agricultural Bureau in the east section of central street. In January 1972, it was renamed as the Forestry Department of Yilan County People's government, and then renamed as Yilan County Forestry Bureau, and moved to the nursery outside the South Dam of Yilan town. In 1986, it was renamed Yilan County Forestry Bureau and moved to the present site. The forestry bureau is subordinate to the people's Government of Yilan County and is a department level unit. In 2008, the output value of the forestry system was 280 million yuan, of which the output value of China's forestry was 36 million yuan; the overall timber production was 41700 m, the timber sales revenue was 28 million yuan, and the profit was 8.14 million yuan. The state's investment in forestry has gradually increased, and a series of measures and policies have been implemented, such as limited forest cutting, classified forest management, compensation for forest ecological benefits, and returning farmland to forest. Main responsibilities

（1） To be responsible for the supervision and administration of forestry and its ecological construction in the whole county. (3) to be responsible for organizing, coordinating, guiding and supervising the afforestation work of the whole county.
