History of construction
During the period of northeast occupied by Japanese, Taoyuan town of Changchun District was set up. In 1946, Taoyuan branch was established. In October 1948, it belonged to Dongtian street, Taoyuan Street and Dongdaqiao street in Changchun District.
In 1953, it belonged to Dongda, Dongtian and Taoyuan communities.
In August 1955, it belonged to Dongda and Taoyuan streets.
In November 1958, Dongda street was merged into Taoyuan Street.
In 1960, Taoyuan Street was transformed into Taoyuan commune.
In October 1980, Taoyuan commune was transformed into Taoyuan Street.
