Laodigou town

Laodagou Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Longjing City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, is located in the northwest of Longjing City, bordering Chaoyang town of Yanji City in the East, Zhixin town in the south, toudao town of Helong city in the west, Shimen town of Antu County in the north, with an administrative area of 581.95 square meters.

In 1881, it belonged to Shangyi commune of Nangang Reclamation Bureau. In November 1964, Yushu commune was set up in agricultural area of laodagou commune, and laodagou commune was changed into laodagou town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Lao Tou Gou town was 29025. As of June 2020, the town has 4 communities and 22 administrative villages.

History of construction

In 1881, it belonged to Shangyi society of Nangang Reclamation Bureau.

In 1914, it belonged to Shangyi township of Yanji county.

In 1931, it belonged to Yushu Township, the Second District of Yanji county.

In 1936, it belonged to Yushu village.

In 1945, it belonged to Yushu district.

In 1956, laodigou town was set up in laodigou street of Yushu district.

In April 1958, Taoyuan and Lianming townships were merged into laodagou town; in September of the same year, they were merged with Xilinhe township to form laodagou town commune.

In April 1959, the Xilinhe commune broke out.

In November 1964, Yushu commune was set up in the agricultural area of laodagou commune, and the commune of laodagou town was changed into laodagou town.

In September 1998, Tianbaoshan town was assigned to laodigou town.

In October 2001, tongfosi town and Xilinhe Township were assigned to laodigou town.
