Hanzhang Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Dunhua City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, is located in the west of Dunhua City, bordering Jiangnan Town in the East, Hongshi town in the south, Jiangyuan town and dapuchaihe town in the southwest, Pipa River in Jiaohe City in the west, qiuligou town and Huangnihe town in the north, with an administrative area of 163.21 square kilometers.

In the early Qing Dynasty, it was forbidden to cultivate paddock; in 1982, Hanzhang commune was changed to township. In 1983, hanzhangtun was renamed hanzhangcun. By the end of 2018, there were 12166 registered residence in Han Zhang Township. As of June 2020, Hanzhang village has jurisdiction over 18 administrative villages.

History of construction

In the early Qing Dynasty, it was a forbidden paddock.

In the early years of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, there were scattered households.

During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to the mountain town of Dunhua county.

In 1934, it belonged to nanhuangni river protection.

In September 1945, Weixin district was established.

In 1948, banjiehetun was renamed hanzhangtun.

In 1956, it set up Hanzhang Township and settled in Gushanzi village.

In 1958, the township changed into a commune.

In 1969, Han Zhang commune moved from Gushanzi village to dongshantun.
