Wangben town

Wangben Town, belonging to Shuangliao City, Siping City, Jilin Province, is located in the southeast of Shuangliao City (Zhengjiatun) and in the corner of Liaohe River in the East and West. It borders Dongming town in the East, Changtu County of Liaoning Province and kezuohou banner of Inner Mongolia across Dongliao River in the south, namus Mongolian Township across Xihe River in the west, yimashu forest farm and Hongqi Street in the north. The area is 122.3 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, Wang Ben town had 23189 registered residence.

Originally known as gaojialu village, it belongs to Renfu community of Liaoyuan Prefecture. In 1945, gaojialu district was set up. In 1956, it was changed to Wangben township. In 1992, the township was transformed into a town. As of June 2020, Wangben town has 15 administrative villages.

By the end of 2018, there were 21 industrial enterprises in Wangben town.

Historical evolution

Originally known as gaojialu village, it belongs to Renfu community of Liaoyuan Prefecture.

In March 1948, jiucaigangzi village in gaojialu village was changed into Wangben village.

In 1956, it was changed to Wangben township.
