Linhuaigang Township

Linhuaigang Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Lu'an City, Anhui Province, is located in the north of Chengguan, Huoqiu County, Anhui Province, across the Huaihe River, with 16 administrative villages and 120 villager groups under its jurisdiction. It is the only flood discharge and storage Township in Lu'an City.

Evolution of organizational system

Linhuaigang Township, formerly known as jiangjiahu Township, also known as wuliwan, belongs to the tail of Fenghe river. It was founded in 1950 and merged with chenzui, Wangji and other townships to form wanminzha Township in 1957, and then separated. In 1972, linhuai commune separated from Xindian senior commune and became an independent commune. Later, it became linhuai Township and became a township in suburban area. In 1992, it was merged with jiangjiahu Township and renamed Linhuaigang Township in 2003.
