Wulin Korean nationality township

Wulin Korean nationality township, belonging to Jiaohe City, Jilin City, Jilin Province, is located in the northeast of Jiaohe City, bordering huangsongdian town in the East, Baishishan Town, Henan Street and Naizishan street in the south, Henan Street in the west, Qianjin Township in the north and LAFA street in the northwest. It is 6.5km away from Jiaohe City in the southwest, covering an area of 227.84km2.

In the first year of Xuantong (1909), Wulin Korean Township belonged to the Second District of Ermu County; in April 1984, it was changed from Wulin township to Wulin Korean township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Wulin Korean nationality township was 16550. As of June 2020, 20 administrative villages are under the jurisdiction of Wulin Korean countryside, and the Township People's government is located in Wulin village.

History of construction

Wulin Korean Township got its name because the township government was stationed in Wulin village.

In 1909, the first year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the Second District of Ermu county.

In 1933, wulinbao was established. In 1938, Wulin village was replaced by Wulin village. In 1939, it belonged to the puppet Jiaohe county. In 1946, Wulin district was established.

In 1954, Wulin was divided into two villages: Wulin and wulingou.

In 1956, Wulin village and wulingou village were changed into Wulin Township and wulingou township.

In August 1958, Wulin Township and wulinggou Township were merged into Wulin Korean township; in October of the same year, it belonged to Jiaohe commune and was changed into Wulin administrative area.

In July 1959, Wulin commune was established.

In 1983, Wulin commune was transformed into Wulin township.

In April 1984, Wulin township was changed into Wulin Korean township.
