In December 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province agreed to abolish yilonggou Township and divide its administrative region into Guli town. Guli Town People's government is located at No. 92 longgou street, animi village.

Longgou township is under the jurisdiction of Zhaojue County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. In 1962, longgou township was set up in Qimu township. In 1972, longgou commune was changed. In 1984, longgou township was restored.

Longgou township is located in the east of the county, 78 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 36.2 square kilometers and has a population of 2000. Japan (Kazakhstan) Gu (LI) highway transit. It has jurisdiction over five village committees: longgou, animi, guryijing, Shuzu and Jinye Yipi.

Longgou Township mainly produces potato, buckwheat and oats.
