Chang Gao Township, a city of Beipiao, Chaoyang City, Liaoning, is located in the east of Beipiao City, East and small Tzu Zi Township, and south to Chang Heying township. In the Republic of China, it belonged to Changgao Village Office of six districts in Chaoyang County, with jurisdiction over Changgao, Ma Youying, changheying and Xiaotazi. In September 1958, Changgao commune was established. In February 1984, Changgao commune was changed into Changgao township. As of June 2020, Changgao rural area has jurisdiction over eight administrative villages.
