Guocun Town, subordinate to Wanzhou District of Chongqing, is located in the southwest of Wanzhou District, adjacent to Longsha town in the East, Wuling town in the south, Yehe town in Zhongxian County in the West and Xiangshui town in the north. It is 55 kilometers away from the government of Wanzhou District, with a total area of 57.39 square kilometers.
In the Qing Dynasty, Guocun town belonged to sanzhengli Erjia; in January 2009, it was changed from Guocun town to Guocun town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Kwun village was 23910. As of June 2020, Guocun town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 12 administrative villages. History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to sanzhengli Erjia.
In 1931, it belonged to san'er town.
In May 1950, Guocun township was established.
In April 1961, Guocun township was changed into Guocun commune.
In September 1965, Guocun commune was renamed Xincun commune.
In November 1981, Xincun commune was restored to Guocun township.
In September 2004, Ruichi township was merged into Guocun township.
In January 2009, Guocun township was changed from township to town.
