Guocun Town, subordinate to Wanzhou District of Chongqing, is located in the southwest of Wanzhou District, adjacent to Longsha town in the East, Wuling town in the south, Yehe town in Zhongxian County in the West and Xiangshui town in the north. It is 55 kilometers away from the government of Wanzhou District, with a total area of 57.39 square kilometers.

In the Qing Dynasty, Guocun town belonged to sanzhengli Erjia; in January 2009, it was changed from Guocun town to Guocun town. In November 1981, Xincun commune was restored to Guocun township.
